​​​​​​​The proper and best method of joining the ends of the driving belts is to overlap the ends about 2 or 3 inches, and then screw them together with properly prepared screws in 2 lines, say for 2 inch belts 3 screws in a line and 4 inch belts and 5 inch Ditto 4 or 5 screws in a line, very probably
