disposed of the Stock &c and rented the farm to a good tenant at £150 pr annum.

The weather here for some months past has been very mild and favourable to the crops, the wheat could not look much better than it does just now, and the absence of frosts on the uplands has allowed the maize (of which an unusual quantity was planted by our tenants in January) to mature, I hope to collect a good deal of Rent from this source.

I also beg to hand you the usual monthly account of Cash Rents received, together with a list of Promissory Notes taken to this date, most of these last I believe will be paid at maturity, they are principally dated 20th May /63, Payable Six months after date, and for Rents due 31st December
