Sir William,

Your favor dated 25th July enclosed to Mr Bowman I duly received, the letter you advise me as having despatched on the 19th via Southampton I am sorry to say has not yet reached me.

Mr Bowman and McMahon with a 2 Horse dray and 3 men start for Bulli on Monday for the tree ferns, they will be followed by a stronger team - your instructions with regard to the carting home, packing &c shall be strongly attended to.
