Instead of this Mr Hutchinson called and informed my Clerk you would communicate with me "about keeping the place on" and he subsequently wrote to me to the same effect. I was therefore much surprised to receive your note.

I advertized the store and have had several applications, and might have let it had we had possession. I have a party ready to take it at the present moment.

The Trustees therefore will I am persuaded expect you to be responsible for the rent to the 30th ulto at all events, and as I can have nothing more to do with Mr H. I trust you will take
