I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your esteemed favor 23rd Inst accept my best thanks for your hint about the sixpenny extra stamp, it was done without my knowledge.

The Wine arrived this morning and now in the Store packages in good condition. We are suffering here now two days from hot winds & Sourtherly gales with all the annoyance attending these Winds.

I have forwarded you two Cases ex "Duncan Dunbar" -

J & W M A
      <B>            1 Case & 1 Case W.M.A. # to thus complete the shipment by that Vessel all forwarded to Camden. I duly note the contents of your Note referring to Messrs D. S. Campbell & Co. Allow this privilege to offer you the Compliments of the Season.
