I beg to request of you that you would reduce my rent from the first of Oct next to 8/- per Acre per Annum for the cultivated ground (I have 28 acres) and to reduce the rent of any wood land to 1/- per acre per annum (which id 32 acres).

I am sorry to say that from a series of bad seasons I have not been able to pay my rent up to the present, the amount of which according to agreement in Oct next will be £ 47. - .- .

Which sum I beg you will allow me for Improvements I have made in Brick buildings and Shingling
