Mr Ferguson may think of importing Cuttings but that is not so easy to do.  I may also tell you that the Government has none direct from Mount Pellier [Montpellier] Mr Benson imported them from California and I saw them on arrival, they are nothing like our Cuttings and may not be Phylloxera resisting.  I therefore think it worth while not to part with them at present if Mr Reedy could manage them for an other year our position would be much improved.
