Captain R.S.G. Thorold:   A capable and efficient Company Commander, strong personality and character, and  considerable ability as an Officer in Charge of separate command at Kaewieng.

Captain T.G. McPherson:   A very earnest and careful Officer of good ability; has improved very much the last few months. Requires more dash.

Captain H.L. Morrison:   A keen and zealous Officer.   Has been absent on special duty under the command of Major Martin; his services have given every satisfaction.

Captain E. Twynam:   A smart young Officer of considerable ability, keen and zealous.   Was selected as Officer in Charge of Native Police at Rabaul.

Lieut. R. Partridge:   Did not start well and was detailed to Sydney; since his return has improved, and in the  absence of of the Company Commander has carried on quite satisfactorily.

Lieut. J. Westgarth:   Is a good Soldier.   His work has been satisfactory in every way, keen and resourceful, and popular with his command.   Is anxious for further service.

Lieut. C.E. Manning:   Is a keen and zealous Officer of great ability; was  detailed as Assistant Judge Advocate General, where his service proved of great assistance.

Lieut. A.D. Fisher:   A very keen and promising young Officer, quiet disposition, but capable of improving in Military work every day.   This Officer was with Captain Norrie at Nauru Garrison.

Lieut. L.B. Ravenscroft:   A keen and capable Officer of considerable ability and character; of strong personality, which served him well when discharging the special duties of Provost Marshall.

Lieut. B.H. McLachlan:   A keen and capable young Officer of good ability and dash, and thoroughly reliable.   Detailed for duty with Major Martin at Frederick Wilhelmshafen.

Lieut. J.M. Maughan:   A thoroughly steady and capable Officer of good ability and strong character; has been Company Commander since Captain Twynam's absence, and showed great ability as Company Commander and good work as O.C. Kieta Garrison.   His legal knowledge was of great assistance to me on several occasions.

Lieut. V.H. Sampson:   A keen and capable young Officer, possessing dash and considerable Military knowledge; his work has been quite satisfactory, and I can confidently report on his service for any future Military work.   He was O.C. Kaewieng Garrison.

Lieut. W.A. Fry:   A very well trained, capable, keen and promising Officer;  he has been detailed for special work with the Treasury, where his services have been of great assistance to the Administration.
