you allude to desire me to say he is a pater familias"; he has two boys one born to him within the last fortnight.
To return to the subject of wine which may be particularly interesting to you I must not omit mentioning your own wine.  You may recollect having sent me a case containing sample produce of your own vineyards.  They have been tasted from time to time with a view to testing their [durability?]; we have not sufficiently marked each sort, but tho' they are mixed in my cellar together; we have just now come to a batch with less [spirit?] apparently than the rest; but with a flavour of Sauterne in a good year, very remarkable & which we had not noticed
