Dear Sir William,
We have your favor of yesterday, that communicated the contents to Messrs Clode & Co enquiring of them whether they would prefer their order being executed at once or await your return to the colony.  Perhaps you will kindly inform us when you propose leaving England - as it may in some measure guide their decision.
We are well aware of the advantage good Casks; a single had bad stave would spoil the wine. -- Shippers of Port & Sherry prefer their old Casks.
Yours faithfully
Donaldson Lambert & Co

Sir Wm MacArthur
