My dear Sir, 

I owe you many thanks for your kind and in extenso letter of Nov. 30 – which if you object not I will enclose to Capt. Best – I don't doubt that your explanation is the right one – but I fear Captn Best may give the wine up in despair, or leave it to the tender mercies of the wine merchant, and never see it in condition – it is an object to remove the bad impression, and with this view I should like to send him one or two dozen of each – Ancarot [Ancorat] – Reisling and Bordeaux – without any Pale Brandy!
