relating to those early days - My dear old Mother has often told me of the old Mrs Macarthur who lived at Elizabeth Farm in Govr Macquaries time. What a kind friend she always was to her during my Fathers absence surveying the Coast of Australia and I often think with pleasure of the great esteem that existed between my Father and James & William Macarthur
