State Library of NSW
was a large area & is well filled from all nations - we saw much to interest us particularly the Pictures those lent by persons in England were very charming & several Hangings of tapestry sent by the Queen attracted much attention. It will be closed the end of January many of the Exhibitions are to be sent to the Paris Ext in March - we visited Geelong & Ballarat I was delighted with the Public Garden there I had never seen any so well arranged & well kept - quite fairy land we spent 2 1/2 hours roaming about it
nothing could be done her Heart & Kidneys were effected. She had long expected to die suddenly and left all her affairs well settled. She is buried at the Waverley Cemetery poor Mary she was very peculiar but a warm hearted creature. I trust she is happy, she had no personal comfort she was so stout & helpless latterly - all the rest of our belongings are well I saw Mr Chisholm yesty well he is delighted at the rain
