heard my dear Mother speak of her so often & should have been very much disappointed if she had not been well enough to see us. We went for a most lovely drive yesterday on the top of a coach & four - to Bentley Priory it used to belong to the Marquis of Abercorn but is now in the hands of Company who own "The Metropole" & "The Strand"  Hotels. The drive is about 15 miles & when the streets & houses are left behind is then the most lovely country roads & lanes with green hedges on either side - pretty peeps of hay fields & woods - the day was rather showery but not wet enough to spoil our enjoyment. After passing the lodge gate we drove tho lovely grounds for about a mile before we
