My dear Elizabeth

The beautiful flowers & fruit which Philip brought, brought our happy visit to you vividly to our minds. I could not go with him as I had no one to leave here. He left us for Tamworth last night but says he will be down by Xmas day

I will take care of the little Basket till an opportunity offers. Many thanks about Strawberries if this dry weather lasts there will be no hope of any. I am sure Florence is quite happy she likes a run here on the grass
