I was very glad to hear your good news & hope you may have a happy meeting with your good husband tomorrow. A steamer has just passed up at 8.15 which may be the expected one!
I thank you very much for your kind wish

I hope although disappointed in the result of the expedition that he is all the better for the trip and thorough change. I suspect the H.M.S. "Diamond" arrived today a salute was fired to the Commodore as she came up the harbour a very ugly vessel [indecipherable] bow!
