Many thanks for your kind note. We had seen an account of the sad event at Camden in the paper & we felt very sorry on all accounts as we knew how much it would shock & grieve you all. The unfortunate Boyd must have been mad at the Service his poor wife was to feel it very much

[indecipherable] is here & will stay for some time. She looks very thin & pale. I have not heard yet what poor Mary's (Launceston) plans are for the future. Charles & I have wanted her to come to NSWales
