to alarm people; this is quite as changeable a season as last year perhaps we have one or two lovely bright days, not a breath of wind, and the next will be cold bleak and showery. Today (21st) is charming and I am taking advantage of the time Baby is out walking to write and have a little chat with you. We have had very little frost yet and the scarlet salvias near the house are looking so beautiful and bright. The Camellias too are coming out very nicely they are very early this
