My dearest Mother

We arrived quite safely last Even'g.

This morning I rec'd a letter from Uncle W. saying he had met with an accident in the L.Council last Evening. So I went at once to the Club to see him. Dr Cox was there & I was kept waiting some time but I was very glad of the opportunity of seeing Dr C. when he came out. He says the injury is not likely to prove lasting but that the limb must have perfect rest for the present
