will bring the Colonies much more nearer, and more loyal in their connections with the Mother Country.

It must have been a great pleasure to you to meet your dear son at Menangle who I am glad to hear is so well.  I hope George and his sister enjoyed the voyage from Adelaide to Sydney.  Remember me kindly to them all.

I am sorry to hear that the Kings of Victoria have suffered so much in the financial crisis but was glad to know that Essenden King was looking so well - as a fellow sufferer I can sympathise with them.  Between the payment of calls, low prices of wool & live stock
