greater growth of hoof, than the English sheep.  Nature has provided them with the means of travelling long distances in their abnormal growth of hoof.  I dont believe foot rot to be infectious.  I offer these few remarks in the hope that they will reach you before you leave Camden.  I may add that on the level plains of Riverina where in wet weather the sheep are walking much in water, that they are free of footrot.

George kindly called the day before he left to say goodbye, and he looked very well;  a week before then he looked very pale after his influenza.
