My dear Mrs. Onslow.

Many thanks for your letter by the last mail.  Your account of the low prices of the cattle and sheep is very discouraging to large holders.  I trust the low prices will establish more meat preserving Companies in Queensland, where the bulk of the cattle are brought from.  I am sure that the low prices will scarcely pay droving and other expenses of reaching the southern markets, so that we may expect better prices soon.
