Property in Sydney and Brisbane has risen much also, but as the rate of interest is high, the boom in land purchasing will probably slacken for a time.  The drought is also having a depressing effect, and many hard working settlers will be ruined by it.  The rise in the price of wool (about 10%) will compensate flockmasters to a considerable extent, and early copious rains may restore their prospects again.

I am glad that Mr. Onslow is pleased with his purchase.  Will you give him my kind regards.

Please remember that I seldom go out before half past one our luncheon time, and if you give us the pleasure of a call come to luncheon when you will be
