My dear Mrs. Onslow,

I have just received yours of the 22d. and am glad to know that you are all enjoying yourselves amongst the "burns & braes" of the land of your forefathers.  In fact I envy you!!

I return the Income Tax papers, and would draw your attention to the fact, that you are exempted from paying any tax upon income received during the first six months after your arrival in England.  After the six months, you are liable to pay on on income you receive.
