confidence, and would enable the Squatters to clear off their debts, except those who suffered severely during the long drought.  Land in the streets of Melbourne, and in the suburbs are selling at exhorbitant prices.  Cheap money has partly brought about this "boom", and will no doubt bring a rise in Lands in and around Sydney.

The late cold wet weather has had a bad effect on the wheat crop, as well as destruction to haymaking, but I hope we may have some warm weather soon.
