My dear Mrs. Onslow,

I was glad to receive your letter of the 20th Augt. and glad to hear that you were all so well at Camden.  I am than[k]ful to be able to say that we are also in our usual good health.  I suffer a little from bronchitis, and must be careful to avoid cold & damp as much as practicable.  I often wish for a warm day, even for a hot wind, but I must try to be content with my lot and strive to do my duty.  All my family are settled at home except Donald who
