purchased it from the creditors for £750,000 is making a fortune by it.

I only stayed two days in N. York so that my knowledge of it is but superficial.  I left there on the 3d June in the Celtic, a fine steady steamer.  We had a smooth passage across the Atlantic, in fact I may say scarcely any one was sea sick from Sydney to Liverpool.  We reached the latter place on the 14th June, and same day came on to Edinbro, where my wife & youngest daughter were staying.  To any one
