are so much at the mercy of the Lands Minister, and a majority of radical members in the Assembly that I would be more independent and easier in my mind by selling, which I did.  The low rate of interest is the cause of runs selling so well in N.S. Wales at present.

We are again discussing a Reform of the L[egislative]. Council when no reform is required;  both the Govt. and the Opposition are pandering to the ignorance of the majority of Assembly voters, and between them I fear our constitution will be destroyed.
