My dear Sir William,

I have just received your letter of the 15th inst. and regret that the strictness of the Scab Act requires such restrictions, which there is no occassion for, as Victoria has been for several years past been entirely free from that scab.  The merinos are upon my property about 25 miles north of Sandhurst, and I am just writing to the Manager to send a buggy to meet me on Wednesday as I will require to select the proper class of sheep to send you, which will be rather difficult, as the fleece
