My dear Sir William

I need scarcely say that I was sorry to hear from our friend Mr. Rusden that you were still a sufferer from the accident you met with last year, and that I was also sorry to hear that Capt. & Mrs. Onslow had the painful loss of a dear child.  I trust however that they have got over their sorrow, and feel as we all must feel, that we must all of us must sooner or later follow their dear ones who have have only gone before us.  Would you kindly
