paddock in which there was only a well, the sheep were brought to water at the well on the Tuesday, and let go in the paddock, and on the Thursday (the second day after) when the men went to bring them to the water they found them dead in hundreds along the division fence where they had been trying to get back, the fence was pulled down, and about half of them reached the surface water in their old paddock & were saved but about half the flock were too far gone to reach the water.  The mismanagement arose through the sheep not being shepherded for 8 or 10 days and brought daily to the water.
