You will probably see a Report going round the Papers of a loss of 5000 of my sheep by fire, and the distraction of my Manager.  It is however not literally true but it is nearly about as bad, for I lost about that number through their not being properly watered, and my Manager took it so much to heart that he was in a most depressed state for a week or two and it was feared that his mind might give way.  He is now I am glad to say much better.  The loss arose in this way - 10,000 sheep were removed out of a large paddock in which there was some surface water into another large
