but in such times I am well content to hold my position.  I fear I may have tired you with such details, but I know you always take an interest in rural matters in a practical way - and specially in my concerns.

My youngest daughter with her husband Capt. Anderson returned to the Colony in the "Yorkshire" 5 weeks ago, it is a source of great pleasure to her Mother & myself to have her back again.  My second daughter is still in England, and will probably remain there till her husband Major Gardner can return upon half pay.
