overland mail to complete his education at Oxford and as that the mail leaves on the 28th I must be back here a few days before then to see him off.  Mr. Egerton might therefore calculate upon my being at home on the end of the month.  I hope he understands that his quarters will be very rough at Willurah;  at the same time it is not so bad as the outlandish "Paroo" and the climate is healthy.  Queensland would be the last place I would like to send any young man to as from all accounts it has a very unhealthy climate.

We have not had sufficient rain on the Plains yet - still we are much better off than we were this time last year - there has been enough to start
