and be of much less trouble than the collection of rents from a poor tenantry.  Rust has dissappeared from this Colony, and on the high lands the wheat crops have been better than they have been for many years back.

The southern portions of the great plain of the interior along the base of our northern slopes on the Lodden [Loddon] & Campaspie [Campaspe] & Wimmera has suffered more than the Murrimbidgee plain, from not having had as much rain.  We have now had a little and there is a spring in the grass.
