with their runs, but after forfeiture they were clearly "forfeited" runs and not "adjusted runs", as there were no conflicting tenders put in for these runs in 1857, on the contrary the Govt. invited tenders for these runs as forfeited runs under the general heading of "adjusted, forfeited, and vacant runs".  The correspondence between the Col. Secretary & Colonel Barney & the Commissioner regarding the original adjustment of these runs shews that the term adjusted was applied when they were really "new runs", and before they were let merely to make them correspond in breadth with the frontage runs.  I am sure it is an oversight on the part of Mr. Wise in misapplying the term adjusted, and concluding that it was applied intentionally in 1857 to the reduction of the runs;  if
