Mr. Moriaty, and confer with these gentlemen as to whether it would be advisable to come to a comprise with the Govt. as I heard it hinted that if I wd. press my claim to the money for which I got a verdict that the Govt. would not disturb me in the runs.  I however think it extremely improbable that the Govt. would dare to resell the runs, after the decided verdict against them, even if they have a law point to shelter
