of the brackish water a day. I work the wells with a "whim" and I have substituted a wind power and pump to work one of the wells, it raises about a quart each revolution, or about 7 gallons a minute, or about 10,000 gallons a day in ordinary weather, but as the weather is uncertain I have a large reservoir to receive the water and hold it in reserve for calm weather, and in addition I have erected a "whip" to work in cases of emergency. We are however looking forward anxiously for rain.
