I was up on the Campaspie (where I have just purchased 9000 acres of land on the line of Railway at 20/ an acre) when Mr. McLean touched here on his way to New Zealand but had a note from him in which he expressed himself much pleased and gratified at the reception you kindly gave him at Camden, and for which I beg to thank you.  I have just sold the remainder of my sheep in New Zealand in the hands of a Mr. Macmaster for 25/ a head at 6 months.  I will therefore receive about £20,000 for £6,000 invested 5 years ago there.  I have 1350 acres of first class land at
