My Dear Sir William Macarthur

I had the pleasure of paying my respects today to your Brother and Mrs. & Miss Macarthur who were really looking well after the very rough passage they had coming through the Straits.  Your Brother looks very thin certainly, but I was glad to observe that he was energetic and apparently in good health.

My son and three daughters accompanied me on board of the Emu, and we spent a couple of hours there.  We went partly to see their Uncle Capt. Cameron off
