begin to feel a little chilly, and to warn us of the approach of winter.  The harvest is far advanced, and until the within the last few days (which have been wet) the weather has been very fine.  Grain crops are generally good, but the disease in the potatoe is spreading very rapidly, and will greatly lessen the supply
