Lodden Plains, Burn Banks,

My Dear Sir,  

I have only time to write a few hurried lines acknowledging receipt of your letter of the 6th Inst. and to inform you that I have written to Mr Fletcher of the Union Bank to request him to remit you £80 being the price of the rams. I observe what you say respecting the A.A.C.s deterioration of wool on their Peel River Station - which arises from the heat of the climate; I have observed the same on the lower Murray and can only attribute it to the extreme heat, where the wool is caked with dust - this nature of the pastures, and the constant exposure on the plains, without any shade, has also a bad effect on the fleece, and again this
