country for miles & miles round their Towns [indecipherable] cultivation & no means are available for getting "into the Bush".  I have however got a [indecipherable] lot of terrestrial orchids just what I was looking for different species of Ophrys, and where do you think I found them? growing out of the ruins, in old mortar in fact, of the fine old Amphitheatre of Italica, near Seville.  One of these days I hope to get some terrestrial orchids from you.  Tell Arthur I will write to him when I get home again a good long letter, if  he will be good enough to excuse me now, & with [indecipherable] love to Elizabeth & him, in which Lizzie & Susie join, & most affectionate regards to Mrs. Macarthur & yourself.
