via Ronda, a singularly picturesque route.  I shall [indecipherable] late be home [indecipherable] 7th or 8th of this month & if not in time for the mail by Galle.  I will write by the S.S. Boat still from what Green has been about I enclose a note I got from him some days ago, by which you will see that he had done nothing up to the 13th of April but I write at once to him to commence to collect.  I think that his attention to "the sad condition of the Orchids again sent to Sydney" refers to the second lot, for I do not think that when he wrote he could have got my letter announcing the failure of the third envoi.
