have in [indecipherable] with respect to them.  I will make a point of seeing Veitch in the course of a few days but I will only endeavour to lead him to speak on the subject as he might if I directly [indecipherable] him to doing mischief.  You know what a "hard nail" he is.  If he thought that you were very anxious on the subject, and had no other person in view, he would only hold off.  Green is here today & tells me that he fully expects to send off the next supply of Orchids by the "Nemesis" to sail in about a fortnight.
