right to blame him.  It was not his fault if Sydney insisted upon celebrating his Apotheosis before he had even commenced his labour.  I went to see Veitch the other day, but he was not at home, nor have I seen Hooker lately tho I have frequently heard from.  I trust that part of your penultimate letter which referred to the [indecipherable] things for him to read.  I have not got my mass of Den. Bigibbum from Kew, but I got so many other things from them that I can forgive the omission.  He has promised me some Cycads part of a collection forwarded by Beineys from Greens [indecipherable], & what I can much more about, a collection of Bromeliads and another of the [indecipherable] Himalayan Rhododendrons.
