of course had I been in Sydney when the Expedition was arranged & will go out now & join them on a second Expedition, if the [indecipherable] are in the [indecipherable].  I long to be doing something.  I have a contempt for [indecipherable] work have not science [indecipherable] to take a leading part in the [indecipherable] Societies & are too old for the H. of Commons.

I think that you will agree with me that Dizzy & the Party have done pretty well.  The [indecipherable] of Opposition "that 3 headed causes" have done all it could to back them into [indecipherable] & now complain of the little there has been done!!  This [indecipherable] & [indecipherable] behaviour has been so palpable that I think it has damaged the Opposition far more than the Ministry.  Goodbye & God bless you.

Ever affy. yrs.

Geo: Macleay
