My dear Friend,

I am in receipt of your two letters of the 3rd & 9th of May.  I think I have already acknowledged the receipt of the two sums of £60, £120 in all.  £75 of this is in the hands of Green, or Collins was, for he has laid out almost the whole sum already.  He sent you an account of his earlier purchases & I now [indecipherable] of what he has lately bought.  There is a very goodly mass of Orchids in my Green House preparing for exportation & within a month
