Taaffe generally gets his work done cheaper than other people - having his "conviction" as a fellow told me the other day, so I advise you to go by his prices - in all probability he gives no more than 2/6 per score.  We were compelled to give what we do.  Thro' the malignity of an ill conditioned neighbour of yours named Mato who keeping a store & run does not care what he gives so long as he makes his neighbours pay, when money indeed generally falls in the long run into his hands.

This is indeed extraordinary weather for this part of the Country at this season.  Mr. James got but 2000 sheep shorn.  I ought to have had 6 times that quantity finished by this time.  The grass seeds I suspect
