"The bills of Atkins for £50 which you received from me being returned protested[?] for non payment.  I have included them in a debt he also owes to me, and have taken the only security. I was able for the
payment bin[?]  A Bonds and Judgement to be carried into effect in England - Capn. Kemp has been kind enough to take the trouble of this Business and if successful in Obtaining the amount I have directed him to pay it to W. Oxley who will inform you more particularly"____________________________
